We are very excited to announce an addition to our staff. Sydney Jones will be joining Katy United Volleyball and we couldn't be more delighted. She will be jump starting our sand program and we couldn't be more pleased for her vision for our program. She will be out at the sand courts bright and early tomorrow for training!

This will be Coach Sydney’s 14th season coaching overall. She is IMPACT certified for both indoor and beach. Coaching volleyball is her passion. In 2016, as head coach for Texas Tornados 16 Mizuno, Sydney got her first qualifying bid for Junior Nationals as a coach, qualifying with Silver Medals in Open division at both MEQ and LSC! She has coached 13-18’s during her club tenure, as well as pre-club age programs, summer leagues, camps, and privates. Aside from indoor, Sydney also coached 2 summers of beach volleyball at Tornados, one under Cameron Sitler (Head Beach and Asst Indoor at HBU).
Sydney graduated from Katy High School where she played outside hitter. She also played outside hitter and then libero for Texas Tornados and Willowbrook throughout her club career. Sydney chose to not accept any of her collegiate offers due to a much needed knee surgery and academic ambition. She obtained her degree in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University in Galveston, with hopes of doing offshore research, or rehabilitation and conservation. Now residing in Sealy with her husband, 2 sons, 2 dogs, and one crazy chicken, she teaches Aquatic Science at Sealy High School, as well as coaching freshman volleyball and basketball. She missed club soooo much that she is coming back to coach beach in her off-season!
Katy United is excited to announce that Southeastern Louisiana University’s Head Volleyball Coach, Jeremy White will be hosting this years college coaches camp! Southeastern is a division 1 program that competes in the Southland Conference. This camp is open to the public and will be for players who are class of 2024 and younger (no high school experience). Each day coaches will teach a different set of skills; serving and passing, setting and attacking, defense and situational/game play. Come out and train like a LION! Katy United is very excited to announce that we will be hosting a division 1 college coaches camp. Coach Jeremy White of Southeastern Louisiana University will be in the gym the week of July 6th, 2020. This camp is available for all players entering 9th grade or younger.
